Verizon Wireless has set up mobile charging stations for those affected by the storms. Service provider does not matter, they are offering assistance to anyone who wants to stop by.

Mobile charging stations will be at the following locations from 10 a.m. to dusk, or as long as needed to provide the community with on-site emergency phones, multiple charging stations and Wi-Fi support. These are open to customers of any wireless carrier and will be in place for as many days as needed: 

  • Mayflower Middle School – 10 Leslie King Dr.
  • Vilonia City Hall – 18 Bise St.
  • Red Cross Shelter at Beryl Baptist Church – 873 U.S. 64 Business, Vilonia
  • Plantation Acres Subdivision – Mobile charging station fulfilling community needs

  • Best Buy store in Conway

Spaghetti Dinner with The Edge:

Join us on Thursday, May 15th, at the Courtyard by Marriott in North Little Rock to have dinner and help out our friends and neighbors at the same time! Enjoy spaghetti, potato salad, rolls, and a brownie for dessert for only $8. There will also be a raffle featuring items from local businesses, with all proceeds going to the Tornado Relief Fund. Be sure to help our fellow Arkansans at Courtyard By Marriott, 4339 Warden Rd., North Little Rock, on May 15th!

 

Charity Baseball Game:
Mayflower Eagles vs Vilonia Eagles Varsity baseball game will be at Dickey Stephens Park on Tuesday, May 6th and all proceeds from the game, concession sales, and donations collected by the cheerleaders will go directly to those affected. Gates open at 4:30pm, and first pitch is at 5:30pm. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted!

At this time, you can make monetary donations at any Centennial Bank, just tell them you want to donate to Storm Aid.

ITEMS WE WILL NEED:
Once some of the heavier clean-up is done, we will also be collecting

Non-perishable Food Items - Bottled Water - Gatorade - Baby Food - Diapers - Pet Food - Soap - Hand Sanitizer - Toothbrushes and Toothpaste - Hygiene Products

We will not be accepting clothes, toys, furniture, bedding, exercise equipment, or items of this nature.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
You can also drop off items at Liberty Trailer, 10120 US 70, North Little Rock, AR. Donations of tarps, flashlights, batteries, hand sanitizer, gloves, blankets, toiletries, bottled water, and trash bags will be accepted between 8am and 4:30pm.

Grace Point Church in Conway is also collecting supplies to help relief efforts. Donations will be accepted between 8am and 8pm every day this week. Just pull up to the front door and volunteers will be glad to help.

Lonoke Café is donating 10% of their proceeds to relief efforts from now until Saturday. The café is located at 616 N Center in Lonoke.

Dardanelle Schools are working to collect bottled water and hand sanitizer to be delivered on May 1st. You may drop off supplies at any Dardanelle School District branch.

Legacy Residentials in Conway has a large number of rental properties available and they are willing to work with storm victims to get a roof over their heads. Some properties can be offered with no deposit, discounted rent, and other options. 501-513-8999 for more information.

Apostolic Church in North Little Rock:

  • Accepting donations beginning at 9 a.m. Monday
  • Donations of tarps, flashlights, batteries, hand sanitizer, non-perishable food items, gloves, toiletries, chainsaws, blankets, bottled water, etc.
  • Great need for socks and underwear for men, women and children.

  • Weekly trips will be delivered to areas in need. Donations will be accepted at the junior high office during schools hours, 7:45-3:30.

Three collection centers are set up to accept supplies:

-Christ UMC in Cabot has been designated as a Faulkner County Staging and Distribution Center. They are ready to accept material donations. Location: 15361 Hwy. 5 in Cabot, next to the Greystone Sonic, 9 am – 6 pm.

-Grace Conway is open 11 am – 3 pm today; 9 am – 3 pm beginning tomorrow. Location: 1075 Hogan Lane, Conway.

-Maumelle UMC will be opening later

  • Donations can be mailed to Arkansas Conference, Attn: Disaster Response, P. O. Box 3611, Little Rock, AR 72203.
  • Drop gift by the Conference office, 800 Daisy Bates Drive, Little Rock, AR 72202 (on the Philander Smith College campus) between the hours of 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
