Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe taking 'good long' break

Lamb of God's Randy Blythe is ready for some much-needed time off.

The band has finally wrapped the touring cycle behind their 2012 album Resolution, which was interrupted by Blythe's arrest, imprisonment, and trial for manslaughter after the death of a fan at a concert in the Czech Republic.  He was found not guilty last March, and the band returned to focusing solely on music.

But now, Blythe says via Instagram that he will not be thinking about Lamb of God, touring, playing heavy metal, writing new material, or anything similar for "a good long while."  He says he hopes to let his brain "regroup" a bit so he can become a "somewhat normal human being."

Blythe didn't say how long his time off will last, but it might not take up all of 2014.  Lamb of God bassist John Campbell said this past summer that the group wanted to start work on the follow-up to Resolution sometime this year.
