Metallica will soon be getting down to business.
Guitarist Kirk Hammett tells "Billboard" he and his bandmates plan to start working on the follow-up to 2008's Death Magnetic "in a couple of weeks."
The guys have kept busy during the interim with a 3D movie, festivals, and a performance in Antarctica, but Hammett says the new album will be their main priority once work officially begins. He admits they've been doing their fair share of procrastinating, but says they've run out of excuses and are excited to return to the studio.
